Planner for over 37 years: Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines Province of Antique for 4 years; Ford Foundation sponsored Research Fellow at Central Philippine University for 3 years covering four provinces on the island of Panay; Planner in the West Tennessee Local Planning Assistance Office servicing several towns and counties for 8 years; Director of Planning in Blount County, Tennessee for 22 years (now retired). Member of Blount County Community Health Initiative, Blount BEneFITs Action Team. Member at-large of the East Tennessee Regional Health Council. Member of the Blount County Office on Aging - Senior Advisory Council. Blount County representative member of the East Tennessee Council on Aging and Disability - East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability. President of East Tennessee Quality Growth a 501c3 non-profit covering 16 counties, promoting local and regional dialog along with regional cooperation and local action. Born and raised in East Tennessee. Graduated University of Tennessee: BS Psychology/Anthropology; MS Planning; and MS Agricultural Economics.
